You know what the soldier brother said. Tips for Operation and Maintenance How to Switch to Local Card Mode for (V) 18S Access Control
Release time:
2019/12/23
Brother Bing teaches you how to change the card issuing mode of the built-in 18S entrance guard of the door machine on site when equipped with system management card and jumper tool.
Under normal circumstances, except for the single-family door host, all types of door hosts have built-in 18S/IC access control, which defaults to offline and unified card issuing mode by PC when leaving the factory. At this time, user cards can be managed within a limited time/time limit, and the capacity of user cards is unlimited,
Under special circumstances, when it is necessary to switch to the local card issuing mode, that is, the small door machine mode (the IC card capacity is limited to 100 at this time), the access control board built into the host shall be set as follows, and the specific method is as follows:

In the above figure, the mode switching socket is empty by default, and it is in the offline card issuing mode at this time. When it is necessary to switch to the local card issuing mode, you need to plug the white jumper into the mode switching socket (it is effective to power on again) (as shown in the figure below);

After switching to the local card issuing mode, you need to use the Starlight Building System Management Card to issue the card. The specific method is as follows:
1. add user cards:
Brush the management card in the "standby state", and enter the "add card" state after the card head rings for a long time;
(1) Brush the user card at this time, and the card head will ring with a short sound, indicating that the addition was successful; If the card head rings twice, it means that the user card has been added and cannot be added repeatedly.
(2) After the operation of adding the card is completed, after 20 seconds of no operation or brushing the management card, the card head will exit the state of adding the card after a long sound and a short sound,
2. delete card:
Brush the management card for two consecutive times in the "standby state", and enter the state of deleting the card after the card head rings twice;
(1) Brush the user card at this time, and the card head will ring with a short sound, indicating that the deletion was successful; If the card head rings twice, it means that the card head does not have the user card and does not need to be deleted again.
(2) After the operation of deleting the card is completed, after 20 seconds of no operation or brushing the management card, the card head will exit the state of deleting the card after one long sound and two short sound.
Clear all cards 3:
Brush the management card for three consecutive times in the "standby state" (the management card cannot leave the card head when brushing for the last time). After hearing one long sound and two short sounds of the card head, continue to wait for 10 seconds, and enter the "clear all cards" state after three long sounds of the card head (take away the management card at this time);
If you brush the management card again within 10 seconds, all the data of the card head will be cleared. The card head will be cleared successfully with two long rings and then two short rings and return to the standby state. If there is no operation within 10 seconds, the card head will fail to be cleared with one long ring and two short rings and return to the standby state.
4. unlock delay setting:
When the 18S card head is in the mode of local card issuing, I .e. small door machine, the dip switch is used to set the "unlocking delay time" (it will take effect after power is turned on again); The number on the dip switch corresponds to the number of seconds to be delayed. The white handle is valid when set to the ON end and only one switch is needed when setting. If 1 is dialed, the delay time is 1S. If the user dials multiple switches at the same time, then the minimum delay time is the valid value, for example, if 1,3 and 5 are dialed at the same time, the delay time is 1S; The factory default is not dialed, and the delay time is 300ms.
5. management card authorization:
The management card needs to be authorized on the card head before it can be used. Otherwise, if the management card is brushed, the card head will ring for a long time and then ring for 3 short times, indicating that the management card cannot be used without authorization;
Specific authorization operations are as follows:
1. After the exit button on the short-circuit card head is powered on, the card head enters the authorization management card mode after hearing one long sound and then five short sounds (it is valid within 20S, and the card head without operation will return to the standby state after one long sound and then two short sounds over 20S);
2. Brush the management card in the authorization mode, and the card head will ring for a long time and then ring for a short time to indicate that the authorization is successful. At this time, the user can continue to brush other management cards for authorization;
Note: The card head only supports the authorization of two management cards. Therefore, when there are more than two management cards, the management card authorized later will overwrite the previous management card.
3. In the authorization mode, swipe the authorized management card to exit the authorization mode. After the card head rings once and then rings twice, it returns to the standby state.
